The historic Andrus Hotel is turning the page on a new chapter — one that honors its past while looking ahead to an exciting future.
Ownership of the landmark property has officially been transferred to the University of Montana Western Foundation, ensuring that The Andrus remains a cherished part of Dillon’s history and a cornerstone of its downtown community for generations to come.
Day-to-day operations will now be led by Marcus and Kelly Drew, a husband-and-wife team with deep local roots and a shared passion for hospitality. The Drews come from a long family tradition of service and community connection — David and Kathie Drew have spent decades in the restaurant industry and are the proud owners of Sparky’s Garage in Dillon and Sparky’s Garage II in Butte.
“We’re truly honored to help carry forward the legacy of The Andrus,” said Marcus and Kelly. “This building is a living part of Dillon’s history, and we’re excited to bring new energy, creativity, and hospitality to every guest who walks through its doors.”
The partnership between the Montana Western Foundation and the Drew family represents a seamless blend of stewardship, experience, and community spirit — ensuring that The Andrus Hotel continues to thrive as both a local landmark and a welcoming destination for travelers from near and far.
